Upgrade to v.0.955
This version adds several new features, the main one being a new log in procedure that allows multiple levels of editors and specified edit areas for each editor. This editor log in list doubles as a membership list which allows areas of the web site to be accessible only to members who are logged in.
This upgrade creates two new tables in the database, 'members' and 'mime'. These table names cannot (yet) be changed in the system configuration. If you already have data tables with those names, they must be deleted or renamed before proceeding with installation.
New Features
- A multi-user, multi-level login system that can also serve as a "members" list.
- The option to restrict page sections to only those who are logged in ("private" sections).
- A more comprehensive image select utility that allows for the creation of new folders with or without password protection of folders' contents.
- Per page variables can be added to the edit screen and inserted into the template (feature sponsored by Emergent Web Design)
- Word and Excel files now viewable within template page (in iframe)
Bug Fixes
- All areas should now operate on servers that have "Register_globals" option turned off.
- Words to be left lower-case in menus are now editable in system configuration.
- Calendar entries marked "Private" by Outlook are now imported with the "members only" access.
- Duplicated entries in "members" table no longer rejects login.
- Protected Flash movies (.swf) do not pass though at all or give an error when not logged in but in a protected folder. Recommend that Flash movies only be placed in "private" folders.(fixed in rc5)
The "members only" check mark designation was confusing - have changed it to "private" (as opposed to "public" pages).
