The full, illustrated instructions follow:
Creating the export file from Outlook
First, you must export the calendar entries from Outlook:
Select menu "File/Import and Export":
Select "Export to a file":
For the type of file to export, select "Comma Separated Values (DOS)":
Select the Outlook Calendar folder from which to export:
Enter the name of the file to hold the information (rememeber this name!). The browser should place the file in your "My Documents" folder. If you are uncertain where the files is to be placed, click the "Browse..." button on the Outlook Dialog pop-up box.
The next pop-up box is a confirmation. In most cases, you should just click "Finish"
Uploading via you web browser
In you web browser, navigate to the 'import.php' page on your web site:
If you are not already logged in to your edit mode, you will be prompted for a password:
Once logged in, click the "Browse" button to select the file that you saved earlier on your hard drive:
Pick out the file that was saved earlier:
You may specify a particular Destination page to hold the calendar entries. Since all of the previously uploaded images on the target page are erased, the ability to select another page allows more than one person to upload their calendar entries without interfering with other entries.
By checking one or both of the option boxes, the utility can optionally add the Outlook category and/or priority to the destination page name upon inport. This works best if no more than one category is assigned in Outlook. The resulting page name would be /pagename/category/priority if both boxes were checked. This allows the creation of sub-lists of events by category using the [events=/pagename/category]... tag to list only the events on that page.
Once you have selected the Destination page, click the "Merge file into calendar"
Once the calendar entries file is uploaded & merged into the database You should receive the following message:
That message has a link to the page where the uploaded items are stored. You can edit or delete entries once they are uploaded. Such edits and deletions would be overwritten on the next upload.
