Install Procedure
- Before installing, please check that you have a web server that meets the basic requirements. If you do not know, copy & paste the requirements into an e-mail to your web host tech support.
- Next, read the installation help.
- Once this makes sense, go to the direct transfer utility.
- Information for downloading is intentionally placed below the installation documentation, since so many people have downloaded & tried to install without reading the instructions.
The documentation is still evolving, but please read what's here already. This project is a labor of love, and is free. Your price is a small investment in time to read the documentation.
Bug Alert
It has recently come to my attention that some people have a problem logging in immediately after installing the system via the direct transfer utility. This will happen if you are already logged in to another copy of Contentor on the same server as a different user.
This can be solved by logging out of the other copy or clearing the cookies on your system (with Internet Explorer, use menu "Tools/Internet Options/Delete Cookies".
The problem does not seem to occur at any other time, and should be fixed in version 0.957.
