Database Error

If Contentor cannot connect to the MySQL database, it will display the error: 'Could not connect to MySQL database - please try again in a moment'.

If you are visiting a site and get this message persistently, contact the site's administrator.

This error can occur because of a momentary problem with MySQL or because the settings in the system configuration are incorrect. If the util/install.php file was left on the server, you can run it to try & reset the proper values. You should confirm with your system administrator that MySQL is functioning and that you have the proper login information.

To check/change your MySQL settings, click the "setup" link on any edit page, then select "Edit Configuration." The first four settings are for MySQL, itself, while the next three settings specify the tables used within the database.
